We are taught that truth is universal, it is singular and unchallengeable. That truth is not subjective, but empirical and knowable. We trust our family, our friends, our doctors and lawyers and influential people who we believe are telling us the truth. The only exception we make is for writers and artists, who we celebrate for their ability to draw us into imaginary worlds. Truth, however, is not static; it changes as we make new discoveries and understand our world better. But what happens when truth is crowd sourced, and the lines between new information and untruths blurs. A Nobel laureate, a Booker prize winner and a Professor of digital communication walk on stage to explore the relevance of truth in the contemporary period.
