Christian Stöcker is a psychologist, tech and science journalist, writer and a Professor of Digital Communication at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He holds a PhD in cognitive psychology He writes a weekly column for Der Spiegel (one of the most widely read German-language news sites) where he previously ran the Web, Tech & Media desk. He has published several books about the impact of digitisation on society and on rapid change in our accelerating world, including biosphere degradation and climate change. His most recent book Männer, die die Welt Verbrennen, a bestseller, focuses on the global networks that aim to delay the exit from fossil fuels.
