Across centuries in India, dohas (rhyming couplets) have distilled the complexities of life, love and the human condition into two timeless lines. In ‘Three Masters’ Javed Akhtar gathers pearls of wisdom from three of India’s great philosopher-poets, Kabir, Rahim, and Vrind, revealing how their words continue to resonate across time and generations. He delves into the depth and beauty of this rich poetic tradition, in a conversation with Sumantra Ghosal, who has translated the book into English, chaired by Juhi Babbar.
