Ghazal - On the rope
Amlan Hossain
Poetry
I thought grief would make me rely on the rope
But it taught me how to defy on the rope
They have only seen my body hanging
They have not heard me cry on the rope.
I just need some space to close my eyes
I am so tired; let me lie on the rope.
I have squeezed my heart of all its love
I have kept it outside to dry on the rope.
I always fail to understand what she says
Her words can teach a knot to tie on the rope.
When they asked him about his last wish
He gave his life to tell a lie on the rope.
