Campus@360 : Weaving Between The Lines

Sakshi Basantani

Poetry

We Sat

We sat under an umbrella
How unmoving long and red
We sat parallel to the sea
How pure serene and blue
We sat on the sand
How soft and warm, as though beating with a heart
Who knew that the red umbrella would stab deep,
The body beneath the sand?
Who knew that the blood then seeped
In the guise of water blue,
And joined the side of the sea?
