Campus@360 : Weaving Between The Lines

I longed for spring every year. Little did I know I wouldn’t be longing for any more things in the near future. I only knew that I was grateful to be alive.
This sense of gratitude emerged after the incident last spring. It was the first spring afternoon when my friends crashed at my place. The boredom of not understanding what to do for spring vacation led us to making the crazy pact. Since we had six weeks of vacation and six of us, we gave each friend one week. So basically, the pact was each friend takes a piece of paper and puts down an extreme challenge that they wish for their friends to do. There was only one rule with the challenges. There were no limits. Everyone became ruthless.
All the chits were collected and put into a box which was locked in my office cupboard and I gave my mom the keys. We began the week after.
Since it was my idea, I decided to own up and go first. ‘Visit the Bronkovich house AT NIGHT’ My heart froze for a second. The oldest house in town and the most terrifying one. Rumours were that the couple living there had a tragic ending. The husband died in an accident but the wife disappeared into thin air. No one saw her after the accident. This all happened years ago before any of us were born.
I hesitantly knocked on her old wooden door and waited. After a few minutes a response came, “Aliza, do not fear harm.”
