Memo to a Poet

Nothing too sad, please
Oh, but, nothing too happy,
That’s too much hope, or it gets too sappy.
Don’t add too much of the world,
But not too little either.
Oh, and definitely no political anger.
Just make it fast,
And make it easy,
You know we could just use Chat GPT?
"Do you not want me to write anything at all?"
The poet finally snapped.
