Once I sat in a sail boat, on an excursion I went,
To the middle of the sea where an edifice stood;
The air it was still, the waters they were calm,
Over the lilting waves, lilted my boat of wood.
The boat had a mast: tall, straight and upright,
Attached to it was a sail, which elegantly fluttered,
The blowing wind, suddenly, its direction reversed,
Flustering our boat which nervously shuddered.
The sailors on board were nonchalant,
One balanced himself on the edge of the deck,
Lying on air, parallel to the water, he maneuvered the sheet,
Until the wind aided the boat, to turn its neck.
So many a times in life my friend,
The direction of the wind cannot be changed,
Just adjust your sail to turn the bend,
And you won’t be confronted with a situation so deranged.
