Kaushik Basu is the Carl Marks Professor of International Studies at Cornell University and Professor of Economics at Cornell University. Educated at St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and the London School of Economics, he earlier served as Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India, and Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank, in Washington, D.C. The author of several important books, he currently teaches game theory and law and economics, at Cornell University
