Devika Bakshi
Spanish Teacher, Writer & Translator, India
Devika Bakshi is a teacher, writer and translator born and based in Delhi. She teaches at Instituto Cervantes New Delhi, where she has also worked on a number of translation projects, most recently ‘Escucho tu Silencio’, a volume celebrating the work of the poet Ángel González. She studied Comparative Literature at university, after which she worked as a print and radio journalist for several years before she began teaching at Instituto Cervantes. She is interested in public spaces, histories of internationalism, and language as a site of reflection, encounter and contestation.
