A Wish Upon the Sky features rising voices in Mumbai's emerging slam poetry landscape. The show stars a group of 12 performance poets featuring youth, women and the transgender community. The poems are in English, Hindi and Marathi, the styles vary from ghazal to rap, and the themes range from global concerns to city local trains. Come listen to this spirited and exuberant medley from poets who discovered their talent through workshops led by Word Travels, Sydney and anchored by The Pomegranate Workshop, Mumbai over the last couple of years, supported by the Australian Consulate General, Mumbai. This year's performance at Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest is part of the MAITRI (Australia-India cultural and arts partnership) grant initiative.
