Weaker Wolf

Poetry
Roaming in the strongest pack of wolves,
Loyalty they believed, so did I.
I had a weaker physique but howled louder,
By the pack everyday quite trolled was I.
I was famous in the mountains for my melodious howls,
For the pack of wolves a joke was I.
My art of howling to them felt like coughing up blood,
As they laughed on my howls, more weak felt I.
The pack decided to abandon me one day,
Cause amongst the wolves, like a sheep felt I.
They injured my throat till I walked away,
Coughing up more blood towards the mountains walked I.
I ran in silence cause loyalty mattered,
To the pack of wolves always a liability was I.
My asset was ignored which the mountains valued,
Turning away from our hideout, towards the mountains limped I.
The mountains deserved my howls much more,
By the memories of the pack, always haunted was I.
I questioned myself was I a wolf in sheep's clothing?
Or a sheep in wolf's clothing was I?
