TYPING

Your fingers type-and-I gaze.
Gazing at your mouth
Which every now and then
Tries to smile
But the muscles always
Give up midways
Leaving your mouth-a bleak straight
As if that, comeback wasn’t funny enough
But you, my friend
Type.
Type
And typing…

While I Gaze
Now, gazing at your pointy nose
It got some blackheads,
And some new pimples

While you type
And I gaze
Now Gazing at
At your eyelashes
Which are beating slow-fast-fast-slow
As if by blinking your eyes, you are trying to wipe
All the filters away
From those virtual faces
You are gazing at
While I shift my gaze
into your eyes
You got a brown tint in them
Have you ever realised!?

Eyes.
Staring straight into the screens
Searching…
Scrolling…
Tapping…
Tap-tap
Liking
Commenting
Sharing
Eyes.
Desperate to find connections miles apart
Constantly shuffling between
Instagram.
Facebook
Tinder
Hinge
WhatsApp
And God knows what myriad of social sites you use
While I gaze
Now, gazing into your eyes and slowly vanishing away from this reality
Because it’s you and your commendation
That fuels my soul
You see
I breathe oxygen to keep this body going
But I need your touch to keep my soul intact
Look into my eyes, acknowledge my soul
Make my existence here worth something
Otherwise;
I'm just a ghost lurking in your sight
My fingers are desperate to intertwine
But yours just type;
Type
And typing…
Slow-fast-fast-slow
