The Cradle of My Childhood

"Beyond words"

The cradle of my childhood holds the sweetest feeling ever,
gently swung by my mommy’s lullabies, wrapped in her tender touch,
and in the warm, protective hugs of my papa’s lap.

My little hands and legs, always restless in play,
would kick their cheeks with innocent joy.
Yet, they would hold my tiny hands and feet,
lifting me high into the air,
teaching me the meaning of safety before I even knew fear.

I was too naive to understand what danger was,
or what it meant to be protected.
All I knew was the closeness of their touch,
a shield stronger than anything else,
a divine presence ,always kept me safe.

In my laughter and my carefree smiles,
they found their entire world.
Every giggle, every sparkle in my eyes
washed away their chaos,
and filled their hearts with peace.

The innocence of my childhood was not mine alone,
it was a gift to them,
a reminder that love,
in its purest form,
needs no language,
no explanation.
