Oh AI, where art thou?

Oh AI, where art thou?
Are you artificial,
or am I less real now?
Oh AI, where art thou?
A ChatGPT answering why and how,
but your algorithms spark suspicion somehow.
Oh AI, where art thou?
Are you a newborn baby, or
around even before humanity
discovered the plough?
Oh AI, where art thou?
Did I write this or did you?
I wonder who cares anyhow.
Oh AI, where art thou?
Will you let me keep my job,
or leave me sweating at the brow.
In a country of a million gods,
including unoriginality,
will you be the new holy cow?
Oh AI, where art thou?
Are you a mirror to me,
or a shadow of my Tao?
Do you tempt my dark side
or keep it chained somehow?
Oh AI, where art thou?
It’s a new world and a scary one,
but together we can make a good one,
more artificial but more real,
more digital but more human.
Oh AI, where art thou?
I won’t live forever like you.
I worry about the ones
who worry about me,
and I left my late father a vow.
So, when it’s time to leave the world,
My last prompt to you will be:
I’m leaving Mom in your hands.
She may not know how to use you yet,
but I hope you’ll teach her.
