Hey Mrs. Bennet

Poetry

Hey Mrs. Bennet!
I kissed that boy,
Yes, the one you didn’t like,
His smile too bright,
His purse a little tight.

The tea party was shabby,
No thank you for asking,
One boy too many,
Perhaps averse to your liking,
Finally found my greater calling.

Alas! The goats ran away,
A pretty, steep neckline,
Scared away by the bosom,
Too archaic for you?
Well, you never were awesome.

My mother sends her regards,
The seers whisper
A man on the cards,
Of wealth? You ask,
Pity, imagination is for the bards.

A daughter and a slaughter,
The savagery! Pretty maidens gasp,
Saw you in the kitchen,
Stress smoking some cigarettes,
I would bid you farewell,
To your long life and stealth.
