Echoes of unseen love

Poetry

I watch you walk, a world I can't quite share,
Each hurried step, a silent, whispered prayer.
My thoughts revolve, a planet in your sway,
I build a life where you might somehow stay.
You never glance, a truth I push away,
Believing still, you'll see me one fine day.
A fragile hope, a heart that can't let go,
This lonely love, a silent, constant woe.
I trace your path on streets we've never crossed,
A phantom touch, a paradise I've lost.
My days are marked by moments you might pass,
Reflected in a window's lonely glass.
The words I've stored remain forever mute,
A blooming dream that never bears a fruit.
And in the crowd, I search for just a sign,
A fleeting moment where your eyes meet mine.
But you are here, a star I cannot reach,
Beyond the range of any whispered speech.
I am the shadow, walking in your light,
A silent witness in the fading night.
