Poetry

What is love?
Writers wrote in the immortal writings
Love is something worth fighting
With every tooth and nail
To rewrite it, each century without fail
To love, is to yearn
In love, one is to burn
There had been wars and peace
All in the name of love, humans decease
Empires ceases to exist
The ruins of love has the longest list
Love cannot be bought
It's a fever when you get caught
Love costs a fortune
Poets weigh it in moons
One says it's poems, flowers and touch
But I beg to differ as there's more and much.
Love is cold hands
When he's scared, and yet in front of you he stands
Love is treating me the same
Whether he's down or above his game
Love is naming flowers after me
So more of the world they can see
When love is choking you on your words
You find how much it hurts
But you still talk to keep them by your side
To keep them safe and give them a place to hide
Being scared of being left behind
Yet your feelings are never left confined
Trembling body with heavy legs
From the toes to your hair tip, mercy it begs
For a minute second losing your heartbeat
Fire re-igniting at the touch of their heat
Loving is being perceived and seen
With a look they can tell where you have been.
There's a magnet that connects the two worlds apart
Beating together are two different hearts
To him, quantum science comes easy
But forgets what dracy said to lizzy
There's no integral line running through this poem.
I wanted to write my love in code to show him
His hair, I love them unkept
On his body, There are constellations I connect
Wishing our destiny to intersect
Take me with him or leave thoroughly wrecked
Love for me is scary but brown dragon eyes
My tears at short goodbyes
I wonder where it begins
And where it turns into besetting sin
He's ghosting hands on my skin
For me , love and him are akin.
