Are you real or
But a dream, like a
Chimera that I relentlessly chase as I
Desolately await the promise of
Eternity, Calmly yet
Fervently, even as the angst in me
Gallops steadily like a restless bee.
Hoodwinked by your charm that was as
Inclement as a storm,
Just an enough spell to
Knit me into a shell of
Life so blind like a
Mirage in sight,
Never did I know that my desire would be
Ossified and strapped, for once and forever,
Petrifying the pieces of whatever was left,
Quelling the fire of what was,
Rewriting the destiny of what will be
Shoring up the grit that is still remnant,
To only realise that you
Usurped the fences of my peace, though
Valiant was my facade
When you lurked away, leaving me with a
Xeric heart and a parched soul,
You made me realize that you were the
Zenith I could never conquer.
