Living 1000 years
I have lived enough to not have fears
Time is just a speck of dust
Hurrying is never a must
I can remember hundreds of names
I don't know how to play a single game
I wrote with feathers, pens and stylus
Saw the story running behind us
I remember sleeping through wars
I seldom woke up to do some chores
Though I wrote a letter to the same address
For 5 centuries i must confess.
Hope they will come to see me soon
I counted innumerable suns and moons
The sun forgets to let me breathe
For their answer, I'm filled with greed
I tried to find them in faces around
Their contours I never found
Their hands in the museum of my mind
I counted the years they have left behind
Since the existence of time, i bleed in invisible
In the past and future, I'll be a fable
I still have my face
Your name is still filled with grace
I sang the praises of who promised to never return
My love for you, whoever I met did learn
I inscribed our adventures on stone
No one knows why am always alone
I sit alone under the tree named after you
It talks to me when the moon is blue
"Are you well?" "I'll be back soon"
"You lie to me every full moon"
There's no way to bargain
Another decade of never seeing you again
The sun didn't change it's course
I named the stars after every remorse
After 1000 years, the time seems slow
But each second carries your name in tow.
