A Letter to the Dreamer Within

To the Dreamer Within,
I have been watching for a while.
I know you aren't sure.
I know you are afraid to dream,
For it shatters as you build.
The journey takes turns unexpected,
Turning a wonderland into a nightmare in seconds.
With beads of sweat you arise,
Every day to start the day anew.
But the cycle repeats,
The day starts, the day ends.
The moon arises too.
You no longer want to dream,
Afraid might the nightmare come knocking again.
You find excuses to disapprove,
Every dream the heart desires,
Everything the brain articulates.
Could no longer turn a deaf ear to the pleas,
So built a dungeon soundproof around,
Making sure nothing can crumble it down.
But I want to tell you,
I once meet a dreamer.
Who dreamed beyond the horizons,
To the depths of the ocean,
And to the centre of the galaxy.
Hope you know it's you.
Do you miss the dreamer in you?
Because I definitely do.
I await the day you will let down your guard,
And finally let the dreams flow out,
Even if the dreams turn dark, you bring them light.
So tell me, do you miss the dreamer within?
'Cause I definitely do!
-From the Lost Dreamer
P.S. Hope you embrace the dreamer within.
