Campus@360 : Weaving Between The Lines
Nayantara Hegde-Karkhanis
Poetry
So all day long I sit inside
And watch the rain, children bobbing like apples
Splishing, splashing filling their hearts with joy divine.
Until one gets called home, crying flaying arms
he retreats ,soon more grown ups obey-
One by one all the playground is empty
Raindrops now fall morose, thick with sorrow
No tiny hands to touch, no soft faces to caress
When did I stop enjoying the rain?
Must be when, I had to report to work, sharp at 9, come rain or shine
battling muddy streams and damp seats, to find that
whirlpool where we spin and we drown
