Kind Villagers

The house stood on a hill, near the village in the outskirts of Akola. The people of the village were kind-hearted and hardworking. They worked day and night in their fields. The geographical condition of the village was mostly made up of plain landscape, where tall trees were rare to see, which helped farmers acquire more land for better yields. But where there is light there is a shadow.
Due to this landscape this village was suffering from scarcity of water. Many villagers remained thirsty due to scarcity of water reservoirs. The villagers were not well educated hence they believed that praying to God will resolve their water issues. But praying everyday still didn't change the climate condition.
It was a regular day when some tourist visited the village they walked for hours without any shade and ended up on a hill near the house feeling thirsty. They asked the villager for a glass of water. Being kind to visitors the lady of the house offered the last reserve of water to the visitors The tourists turned out to be members of NGO that helps farmers grow and supports them to earn sufficient for their daily needs. They help others to plant trees and build schools and hospitals for better education and healthcare. In next 5-6 years the village became very ____ and every time the rain falls the children held out their hands.
