Pratibha Ray, multiple award winning author who writes in Odiya, is one of India’s foremost novelists. She has received the top Indian honours of Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan; and the highest literary awards - Sahitya Akademi and Bharatiya Jnanapith, among many others. She has written 23 novels 26 short story collections, 12 travelogues, 2 poetry collections, 5 essay collections, an autobiography, and a book on five primitive tribes of Odisha. Her works have been translated into English and other Indian Languages. Pratibha Ray is the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the Godrej Literature Live! The Mumbai Litfest.
