Henning Stegmüller, born 1951, studied photography and then film at the University for TV and Film in Munich. Since 1977, he has worked as a cameraman, director, editor and producer on more than 30 documentary films as well as television dramas and feature films. Stegmüller became known for his ethnographic films on India, Africa and Latin America. Since 2000, he has devoted himself primarily to photography. His text and picture book 'Bombay-Mumbai, Pictures of a Mega-City' was awarded the Goethe Publishing Prize in 1999. His participation at the festival has been made possible by Goethe Institut Max Mueller Bhavan.
