Visitors Not Allowed
Kirti Priya
Every inch of me yearns for him,
Reminiscing the days we were together,
When the sky fell in love with the earth,
And the dawn with the dusk.
The time when universe talked of our opalescent love,
And even the stars envied us.
When each moment felt like years
While I lost myself in your illusive
words.
You promised me the sun and moon
But then left me like the flower which could never bloom.
Still I waited on my doorsteps for your return.
But you had forever left me alone.
Now, I keep the doors of my heart locked
With the sign "visitors not allowed"
And I have learnt to sew up the scars you left
Slowly teaching myself to fall in love with my reflection again.
