The Journey of Life

Riddhi Apte

Life is a winding road they say
With lures and traps to lead you off the way,
Up to the top is a difficult track
With all your problems in a heavy rucksack,
So, can you make it to the finish line you ask
Don’t ponder, just go ahead with the task!

Misty peaks and dusty roads
Stripped zebras and warty toads!
Big potholes and echoing calls
Yawning gorges and rushing waterfalls.
All this and mores in the game of life
So don’t give up even if there is strife!

And then when the troubles are all but past,
We’ll see that they move ever so fast
Now ahead lie miles and miles
Of white daisies like marble tiles
Life rewards for all hard work
So sit back and relax ; you’ve earned this perk!
