Endless loop
Navami Narayanan
Living in the shadows of others, which get darker and darker,
Make her a little more invisible every other day.
For an ounce of freedom and a pound of guilt-free oxygen,
Taking a flight to outer space, she prays.
Taunts, Insults and Sacrifices surpass acknowledgement and dignity everyday.
Responsibilities burden her shoulders,
The absence of fulfilling them bring her to the knees, making her pay.
She dreams of the calmness and serenity of the space,
Where suffocation is absent and she can do what she may.
Until then, she pursues a routine of listening, crying and going back to normal,
Like acting in an endless play.
