Echoes of Silence
Maria Antulay
Echoes of Silent Cries
In the quiet, where no one sees,
An angel breaks on bended knees.
Wings heavy with a pain untold,
A heart that’s weary, tired, cold.
They hide the scars beneath their skin,
A battle fought, yet never wins.
Each breath, a weight, each day, a climb,
They count the hours, bleed through time.
But oh, the hurt they cannot speak,
The love they crave, the peace they seek.
If only someone saw the signs,
The silent screams, the fragile lines.
So hold them close, before they fall,
A single voice could save them all.
For though they tremble, fade, and bend,
Their story’s not yet at its end.
