DROPLETS OF RAIN
ROHIT KOTHARI
Sitting by the sea, with a cup of tea, at the coming waves I gaze,
The water that has evaporated and gone up, comes back to its place,
But the way it returns, is what makes the entire scene full of amaze,
Yes, even the ordinary site, appears like a LANDSCAPE.
This is the beauty of these droplets of rain,
Even in the busiest of the times, this captivating spectacle,
YOU CANNOT ESCAPE.
In full summer light, it appears like a delight,
The scorching heat, suddenly turns into the breezy beat.
The feeling of (it) soon going to rain, itself brings a smile on the face,
And finally when the droplets pour, with all happiness my heart roar,
Yes, those droplets of rainfall revive me again,
Even in the gloomiest times, these droplets fill life,
WITH GLEAM AND HAPPINES, ONCE AGAIN.
The smell of the sand, when the first drop falls on the MOTHERLAND,
Beats every other sensation and makes me realize,
The essence and the purity of my HOMELAND.
These droplets, remind me all about my preceding life-
The crafted paper-boat I sailed on water,
The football that I played in the muddle with all my friends,
The random holidays declared by schools on intense downpour,
And there are infinite memories I can recollect and cherish them even more.
Those droplets of rain, make me feel nostalgic,
My all wounds of the past and present get healed,
These drops work as an ANALGESIC.
Yes, I feel happy by myself and such is the power of these drops,
They make me feel ECSTATIC.
On the day of heavy downpour, even if all my energies go in vain,
I feel no loss, such is the beauty of these rains,
And it makes me feel, my inner conscience I have gained.
I might hate everything around and near me,
But I cannot ignore these droplets,
Yes, I cannot stop to LOVE THESE RAINS.
