Deadly death
Tanya Tarkhad
Stained windows cracked and vile,
Ocean dreadful, screeching at night.
Swirling whirlpools, patterns of fright,
Deepened footprints, burying the life.
Waves call you home and empty beaches you roam,
The shells tear your skin and the blood lures you in,
The light pokes your eye and youth makes you cry.
The earth pulls you in, you bury your skin
You don't gasp for air, there'll be remnants of your hair,
You hear a faint slither, your being begins to wither,
What was the essence? They try to figure,
Was it the elixir or the liquor?
All matters turn to dust, the life that was, begins to rust;
But you gasp, you choke,
You escape, you run,
You wake, you burn,
You abhor blood and deathly fun.
Peace becomes a nightmare and nightmares become peace,
Death is deadly they say and the dead so cowardly.
