Curricular Confinement
Marushika Kumari
Curiosity and realisation
Are considered a boon,
But in the reality of the Education System
That analogy lies quite far from the truth.
It gnaws on your mind,
And turns your soul blue.
It's not our fault,
But we're to blame.
From hair to shoes,
They can even control our name.
All of us just trudge along in this drudgery,
Calling for one but
Not advocating for change.
We're silently condoning,
Absconding,
Doubling our suffering,
For the system just won't change its way.
The honest students, parents and teachers die
Yet everything remains the same.
I truly want to learn,
But now it's nothing but a bane.
