Come Back
A Rodrigues
Going through the motions of the day
My demons I'm trying to flay
For the past is where I dwell
What is true I cannot tell
There are glimpses of a life
With you still by my side
As I hold on to hope
That's now how I cope
Stuck in denial and what ifs
It's a different life I live
I cling on to the last of your gifts,
I took and took, you'd give and give
Fighting for a straw of courage
In a stack I'm left to rummage
Even to hell I want to tread
To bring you back from the dead
For I hate my own fate
Just come back, I'll forever wait
When the light comes for me
I can't wait to see what is to be
