Poetry
A poem recited by pain
Natasha Jain
In the blue moonlight,
In the hopes of sunshine,
People carry a heavy heart,
Regrets in their smiles,
With pain in their eyes.
The mistakes, they couldn’t let go,
Were the lessons meant to learn,
The anger and their words,
A dagger to someone’s soul,
Oh, darling, pain is not only in mistakes,
It is in the words left unsaid,
It is in the soul of the dancing girl trying to find happiness,
Heard the words I don’t care, but the truth hidden never said,
Heard the words I don’t feel to, but just a soul too scared,
A person with hopes and patience never returned to the home lost,
An eternal love, in front of eyes never found.
Pain dances in the soul,
Adding its beauty to life,
Painting pictures of fate with its colour so bright,
Embrace it and love it
For happiness is a fleeting time,
Your soul carries a pain for eternity,
That reminds you of the lost moments and yet makes you smile.
