"Unspoken Flames"
Vedanti Joshi
In shadows deep, where secrets lie,
I watch you move, a distant sky.
You smile, and stars ignite the air,
Yet you don’t know I’m standing there.
Your laugh is like a midnight flame,
It burns, it sears, but you feel no shame.
My heart's a cage of wild desire,
Unseen, unknown, but set on fire.
Your eyes, they dance with someone else,
A love that leaves me by myself.
I play the part, I wear the mask,
Just friends, you think—that’s all you ask.
But deeper runs the venom sweet,
A whispered hunger at my feet.
I crave the taste of something more,
A danger waiting past the door.
I live beneath your careless gaze,
A shadow lost in longing’s maze.
Each touch, though innocent, inflames
The twisted pulse that feeds my veins.
You speak to me of dreams you chase,
Of lovers held in soft embrace.
And I, the ghost within the room,
Devour your words like poisoned bloom.
You’ll never know the things I see,
The dark obsession haunting me.
I breathe your name, but silence keeps
The secrets that the darkness reaps.
One day, perhaps, the truth will show,
In reckless moments, let it grow.
But for tonight, I’ll be your friend,
While shadows whisper love’s dark end.
You dance through life, a burning sun,
Oblivious to what’s begun.
And I, the moon, in silence wait,
For love that teeters close to fate.
