Dr Rakhshanda Jalil is a distinguished author, critic, translator and literary historian with over 30 books and 50 academic papers to her credit. She has edited five landmark Urdu short story anthologies and authored acclaimed works including ‘Invisible City’ on little known monuments of Delhi. Her translations span Premchand, Sharyar, Manto, Intizar Husain, Kaifi Azmi, and Gulzar. She has won multiple awards for her writings and translations, including the Kaifi Azmi Award for her contribution to Urdu Literature and the First Jawad Memorial Urdu-English Translation Award. She contributes regularly to national and international newspapers and magazines, with book reviews, opinion pieces and travelogues. Her debut novel is to be published shortly.
