Lizzie Chan is a writer, poet, and multidisciplinary artist interested in the messy business of being human, identity, inheritance, language, memory, and all the things our families forgot to warn us about. Her practice moves between poetry, performance, theatre, facilitation, and participatory art, using humor, intimacy, and play, to poke at inherited narratives and imagine kinder ways of being.
She wrote ‘I Broke My Heart So You Don't Have To’ and ‘Seeking Neon Buddha’, both supported by Southeast Asia Queer Cultural Festival. A poetry slam champion, she has performed on the theme of being an Asian eldest daughter all the Sydney Opera House.
