Ghazal - I die

Between the words I mean and say, I die
I leave a lot unsaid each day I die.

All day I wear competence like armour,
When lights go out– I beg, I pray, I die.

Don’t drink water as it would not help you
Your hiccups will stop on the day I die.

You may enjoy being in love with me now
Soon there will be a day you'll pray I die.

The sky is not for men with wings of wax
When I fly close to the sun's ray— I die.

My relationship with you is so strange
You go away, I die; you stay, I die.

If life doesn't give me a reason to live
The world will remember the way I die.
