Still by the sea

Remember the summer when we used to sit by the sea, stare at the water talking about everything yet nothing? When there was no escape we found each other there on the side of the sea with nothing but emotions we found hard to escape.

Sitting there with each other and knowing only we can understand ‘us’ the best, because the rest of the people called us complicated.

Sometimes all we did was look at the distant ocean and spoke nothing. Our silence do the talking. And we left everytime we felt okay.

Then one day you stopped coming and I waited the whole summer, then through all seasons but you never showed up. Now it’s another summer and I still look for you stupidly hoping you would come and we will go back to sitting on the side of the sea.
