Ahmed Tobasi is an actor, director, and cultural leader from Palestine. His birth and upbringing in Jenin Refugee Camp during the 1st Intifada, has shaped his worldview and artistic vision.
In 2002 during the 2nd Intifada Tobasi was taken prisoner by the Israeli army for four years. Upon his release, he joined The Freedom Theatre, an artistic venue that uses culture as a form of resistance. In 2009 he took political asylum in Norway, gaining a place at the prestigious Nordic Black Theatre school.
In 2013, Tobasi moved back to Jenin Refugee Camp as coordinator for the Child and Youth Programme and later Artistic Director at The Freedom Theatre.
Tobasi worked with award winning playwright Hassan Abdulrazzak and director Zoe Lafferty to create And Here I Am, the acclaimed solo show based on his life which has toured globally for eight years.-
This workshop is open to participants aged 18 and above.

Entry for all workshops is limited and is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Once the workshop registration reaches full capacity, the form will close.

An offline waitlist will be prepared at the venue from 10 a.m. onwards for the same-day workshop, subject to seat availability.

All registered participants must report at the workshop venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the workshop to confirm their seat, failing which their seat will be made available for the offline waitlist.

Waitlisted registrations must report at the workshop venue 20 minutes prior to the workshop start time. Depending on seat availability they will be accommodated.

All registrations will close 15 minutes before the start of the workshop.
