  • Dhamini Ratnam is a journalist based in Delhi/Mumbai, who writes on the politics of gender, sexuality, art and culture through a queer feminist lens. She has 17 years of experience as an editor and writer and has worked in news organisations like Mint, Hindustan Times, Mumbai Mirror and Mid-Day. She has won the SOPA for Human Rights reporting and a Global Investigative Journalists' Conference fellowship. She has taught  in a village school in Doda, and done research on the social history of Section 377. She is the co-editor of an upcoming anthology on contemporary queer writings from India.

    Dhrubo Jyoti is a  writer and journalist based in New Delhi, writing on national affairs at the intersection of caste and sexuality. They are interested in centering Dalit voices in India’s LGBTQIA+ movements. They currently work as deputy executive editor at Hindustan Times and are one of the editors of an upcoming anthology of new queer writing in India.

    Parmesh Shahani is an award-winning author, culture curator and LGBTQ inclusion activist. He presently heads the Godrej DEI Lab, an experimental space that aims to empower inclusion ecosystems both within and outside the Godrej Industries Group. He founded and headed the Godrej India Culture Lab as an inter-disciplinary project which examined the ever-changing nature of Indian society. Parmesh has written two books of which Queeristan: LGBTQ Inclusion in the Indian Workplace won several awards.
    Parmesh holds an MS in Comparative Media Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. He is an Aspen Fellow, a TED Senior Fellow, a Yale World Fellow, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and a board member of the NGOs KHOJ and Breakthrough.

    • This workshop is open to participants aged 18 and above.

    • Entry for all workshops is limited and is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    • Once the workshop registration reaches full capacity, the form will close.

    • An offline waitlist will be prepared at the venue from 10 a.m. onwards for the same-day workshop, subject to seat availability.

    • All registered participants must report at the workshop venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the workshop to confirm their seat, failing which their seat will be made available for the offline waitlist.

    • Waitlisted registrations must report at the workshop venue 20 minutes prior to the workshop start time. Depending on seat availability they will be accommodated.

    • All registrations will close 15 minutes before the start of the workshop.
