The Anil Dharker Literature Live! Independence Lecture marks the nationalist’s sentiment of giving to his country a vibrant literary culture. For a columnist who shared his birthday with the country’s Independence day ( just a year younger) this red letter day in August became an occasion to provide a sanctuary for creative minds where the idea of India can be sown and nurtured parallel to his own life.

Several eminent speakers of India have presided over these lectures held annually since 2013. It is art and culture that creates space for an imaginative and achievable tomorrow. These lectures envision an India marching forward, unleashing its potential in thought and action, an unwavering belief in the idea of an India we cherish.

These respected voices of reason and visionary leaders have been from diverse intellectual, professional, corporate and academic fields who delivered extremely stimulating, invigorating and insightful lectures setting an optimistic roadmap for an India of tomorrow.
