Literature Live! 360 @ Campus is an initiative to take literature to students across all academic disciplines on their home ground -college campuses. In 2015 it began with conducting workshops on poetry and creative writing and seamlessly segued into inviting authors to bridge the gap between writers and readers moderating several thought provoking, insightful and personal discussions. In the safe haven of their classrooms the young student enters the world of the making of a book, the process and journey of an idea to the written word, the lives of authors, conversations around literary, social, economic, cultural, scientific issues enriching their canvas of learning.
A campus festival is held parallelly during the main festival where some of the Indian and international writers interacted with students. The list of participating writers include Alan Rosling, Amitava Kumar, Ashwin Sanghi, Arvind Subramanian, Declan Gorman, Devdutt Pattanaik, Jane Ohlmeyer, John Gray, Mamang Dai, Mathew Weiner, Nell Leyshon, Sanjoy Hazarika, Shabnam Minwala, Urvashi Butalia to name a few.
Through this campus initiative, Literature Live! hosts literary arts events in college festivals, and conducts Weaving Between The Lines, a story and poetry writing contest. Winners of these events get invited to a ‘Tea with the Authors’ event at the main festival. Over the years this contest has springboarded budding writers to publish their books. Students are also invited to special events like the Anil Dharker Literature Live! Independence Lecture and to volunteer at the annual Literature Live! The Mumbai Litfest.
